The Trauma/Gen Surgery ICU APP works within the adult ICU /progressive care/acute care areas and is an integral member of a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP functions primarily managing critically and acutely ill adults in the ICU and serves as a resource throughout UKHC for intensive care interventions . The APP is generally on a service-aligned team and manages the day-to-day patient care in the ICU . In some instances, the APP may have responsibilities for this same patient population as they return for follow-up in the outpatient setting.
