The NNP or PA educates patients' families and/or intervenes in acute or chronic illness. The NNP or PA practices within their scope as defined by their education, specialty certification and the guidelines of the unit, department and institution. The NNP or PA is granted affiliate staff privileges by the Johns Hopkins Hospital Medical Board; these privileges reviewed during re-credentialing.
