Psychiatrists are assigned to the Mental Health Service Line within the Kansas City VA Medical Center. The Mental Health Service Line provides care in a variety of settings: the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit, the Domiciliary-Substance Use Disorder (DOM-SUD), and multiple specialized outpatient programs. Psychiatrists assigned to the Mental Health Service Line are capable of providing Psychiatric care in any of these settings.
