About this Job: General Summary of Position We are actively recruiting for an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital as a full-time Clinical Pharmacist II, focusing on outpatient cellular therapy and oncology clinic patients. Oversight to inpatients may be included as well as needed. Cellular therapy experience preferred.  This position is primarily day/evening shift with rotating weekends.    Collaborates and consults with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe efficacious and cost-effective prescribing dispensing administration and monitoring of medication in the provision of pharmaceutical care. About this Job: General Summary of Position The Research Pharmacist supports clinical research by managing investigational medications used in clinical trials. This role works closely with research coordinators, nurses, investigators, and sponsors to ensure investigational drugs are prepared, dispensed, and tracked safely and in compliance with study protocols and regulations. Also will support oncology services by verifying chemotherapy orders and facilitating medication preparation for outpatient infusion and inpatient chemotherapy patients.
