About this Job: General Summary of Position Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician provides prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals to patients. About this Job: General Summary of Position Assists the Pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications to patients. Performs designated technical functions to facilitate pharmacy operations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Consistently fulfills all the responsibilities of the Pharmacy Material Handler.Under the supervision of the licensed Pharmacist prepares oral and topical medications for dispensing to patients including the selection labeling and packaging of appropriate pharmaceuticals and filling of medication carts.Assists patients nurses physicians and others with medication order requests and pharmacy related needs.Monitors stock inventory levels and medication expiration dates for pharmacy areas and replenishes medications as needed.
