About this Job: General Summary of Position   MedStar Georgetown University Hospital currently has an opening for a Full Time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician. This is a 40 hour per week position with rotating shifts.   The Pharmacy Technician performs technical duties related to drug distribution and dispensing as a member of the pharmaceutical team to improve the outcome and quality of patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy policies procedures and standards.   Primary Duties and Responsibilities   Prepares all medications including narcotics for dispensing which includes drug selection labeling and packaging.
