In the Staff Pharmacist role, you will play a key role in the department, ensuring that drug therapy management is safe and appropriate for Island Hospital system patients. Manages the drug purchasing, inventory, distribution, storage, security, compounding/dispensing, and drug administration practices.
Location: Anacortes, WA - Onsite Schedule: Per Diem / Variable hours Salary: $59.14/hr - $88.72/hr
What you will be doing:
Appropriately reviews medication orders for age specific dosing, duplication, drug interactions, allergies and appropriateness for the patient's disease state. When possible improves the patient's medication therapy by effectively communicating recommendations to physicians.
Effectively participates in activities to improve drug utilization
Enters medication orders into pharmacy computer system with appropriate care
Admixes, using aseptic technique, small volume and large volume parenterals prescribed by a physician....
