Overview About the Role The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse (RN) or other assigned supervisor and accepts delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor in meeting the needs of the patient/family. The LPN collects data through observation and communicates information to assist the RN and/or provider in patient assessment and care planning. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Perioperative Services Associate position is to be a vital member of the Perioperative Service/Surgical Team and achieves efficient/safe patient care through the operating room turnover and well maintained supplies, instruments and equipment. As a member of the Surgical Team they demonstrate team collaboration, communication and participate in process and performance improvements activities.
