The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is an integral member of the Palliative team to include: performance of patient/family evaluations, complex symptom management, pain control, and psychosocial needs; provision of care within the scope of service for patients referred to Palliative service; and collaboration with attending physicians within the hospital to provide appropriate care.
