It involves a variety of responsibilities, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex cardiac conditions. This position also includes being a member of the Shock team, managing various cardiac devices and assisting in the evaluation for LVAD/Transplant candidacy. The APP would work closely with the heart failure physician to manage patients with pulmonary hypertension, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and various forms of infiltrative cardiomyopathies.
