JOB SUMMARY The Nursing Assistant/Unit Coordinator at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for providing routine patient care, coordinating nursing unit activities to support effective and and positive patient experience. This role engages strong organizational and communication skills to complete clerical and administrative duties, support inventory and document management, maintain accurate records, and facilitate information and communication across a range of stakeholder groups such as physicians, patients, and visitors to promote overall smooth and effective operational function. The Nurse Tech must exhibit the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; to organize, set priorities and manage multiple, priorities and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Education: High School/GED required. Candidates must meet the following criteria: Completed a minimum of 2 semesters of clinical experience within an academic nursing program. Completed the following educational courses and clinical experience: Fundamentals of Nursing and Pharmacology including medication administration. Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited Associate Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate Professional Nursing Program. Nursing graduates pending completion of NCLEX are also eligible.
