Overview The RN identifies patient needs and prioritizes care based on continuous assessment, executes therapeutic physician orders and therapeutic nursing interventions. The RN evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift. Responsibilities Initiates assessment based on the patient's presenting problems or needs and the physician's medical diagnosis within the framework of Huntsville Hospital Policy. Completes on-going assessments and updates nursing plan of care. Performs therapeutic interventions consistent with the nature of the unit.
