Overview About the Role The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) is a skilled health provider who, through a written collaborative practice agreement with a physician, is credentialed through the Medical Staff Office. As a member of the Medical Staff the APN demonstrates standards of professional practice that include ethical decision making, job activities related to quality assessment/improvement, self – evaluation, leadership, and research.
