Responsibilities: The advanced practice clinician within the acute care hospital setting works in collaboration with, and is an integral member of, a multidisciplinary health care team. The APC provides comprehensive care to patients within the infusion center. Assessment & Management Infusion APC provides care to patients receiving infusion treatments initiated by multiple specialties including (but not limited to) Oncology, Rheumatology, and Neurology. Follows escalation algorithm and contacts appropriate prescribing teams who refer patients to the infusion center in response to infusion reactions or complications. Performs focused exams and assessments for patients receiving care at the infusion center and develops treatment plans accordingly.
