Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center has an excellent opportunity for a certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/Physician Associate with a minimum of two years of Level III-IV NICU experience to join our Level III NICU staff in a full-time position. The Role: Join a team of five Neonatologists and nine Neonatal Nurse Practitioners/Physician Associates providing 24/7 in-house coverage for patient care and high-risk deliveries. Minimal transport responsibilities. Our model consists of one 24-hour NNP/PA in-house and often a second daytime NNP for up to 12 hours, 7 days a week. Our state-of-the-art NICU, with 29 single-family rooms, opened in June 2016 and has 35 beds to accommodate multiple gestations. All rooms include en-suite space for families to stay with their newborns. We actively use iNO, whole body cooling, HFOV, bubble CPAP, and exclusive human milk feedings for pre-term infants.
