Overview Performs ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.  Performs vascular procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for imaging diagnosis.  Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures.  Ensures that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with satisfactory patient identification obtained prior to conducting procedure.  Performs all procedures according to departmental protocol.  Responsible for orientation and training of new staff and students.
