Overview: Performs CT scans as well as procedures in a fast-paced inpatient and outpatient setting. Technologist places IVs, performs study post processing and utilizes an EMR for exam tracking. Performs a variety of CT and radiographic procedures for diagnosis and treatment requiring independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative. Provides basic ER and Inpatient bedside care and assistance under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager, physician or RN. The CT Tech must be able to function autonomously utilizing medical protocols and advanced skills under the direction of the hospital medical director .   The CT tech must be effective with communication, clinical skills, and able to work positively in a high stress environment with patients, peers, families and other internal / external personnel.
