Apply Description Performs a variety of technical tasks associated with the localization of tumors and the administration of radiation to patients, predominately adult and geriatric, as prescribed by the physician. Participates in treatment planning, custom block and immobilization device design and fabrication, dosimetry calculations and quality control and assurance. Assists in training of support personnel. The chart will be checked to make sure that there is a signed consent form, face photo and simulation pictures are present. They will review the simulation film before the first treatment. They will record the initial set-up date on treatment parameters sheets and report any deviation to physicist/dosimetry. Radiation Therapist (RT)(T) (As Needed/PRN) JOB SUMMARY: Safely and correctly operates equipment delivering ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating neoplastic diseases or for other therapeutic purposes. Applies ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.
