Overview: Performs CT scans as well as procedures in a fast-paced inpatient and outpatient setting. Technologist places IVs, performs study post processing and utilizes an EMR for exam tracking. Performs a variety of CT and radiographic procedures for diagnosis and treatment requiring independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative. Provides basic ER and Inpatient bedside care and assistance under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager, physician or RN. The CT Tech must be able to function autonomously utilizing medical protocols and advanced skills under the direction of the hospital medical director .   The CT tech must be effective with communication, clinical skills, and able to work positively in a high stress environment with patients, peers, families and other internal / external personnel. Overview: Functions as a team member of the Vascular Diagnostics Laboratory providing prompt, accurate, thorough non-invasive vascular testing and completing advanced provisional reports in a fast-paced work environment. Completes exams for outpatient clinics, which include advanced specialized interventions from UF Health Vascular Surgery, as well as inpatient exams including neonates through Gerontology, ICU, ER and ongoing research trials. Responsible for performing examinations as well as assisting in the daily operations which include, but are not limited to, IAC quarterly data, precepting interns and fellows, assisting with vascular OR cases, and rotation of charge role duties.
