The MRI Tech 2 arranges patients for Magnetic resonance examinations. Produces MRI images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. MRI technologist monitors and ensures safety of patient and all personnel prior to entering magnetic area. Performs patient screening by using established protocols for any ferrous materials and medical device history and for safe administration of contrast media. Utilizes departmental policy to perform safe operation of equipment and all functions of the job. Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family. Works under minimal supervision and may perform additional job duties. 1-  Clinical skills Exhibits working knowledge of all MRI equipment and procedures. Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques, to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data. The Ultrasonographer maintains and calibrates equipment, records tests results, and updates patient records for referring physicians.  Clinical Skills Makes adjustments to equipment in order to ensure proper technique, maintains supplies needed for specific radiographic procedures, and develops film by automatic processing in a timely and cost-conscious manner.
