JOB SUMMARY The CT Technologist at North Mississippi Health services is responsible for performing high quality diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography equipment to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Technologists are also responsible for reviewing patient information, charts, physician orders, and previous films to plan and perform high quality CT exams.  This role oversees safety compliance for patients, staff, and equipment, along with managing overtime and work schedules efficiently to control costs.  The technologist must also stay updated on radiology protocols and possess a strong knowledge of radiographic anatomy and work effectively within a team. This position must review patient information, chart, physician order and previous images to ensure best possible scan. Plan to answer clinical questions and provide Radiologist with quality MR images. Compliance with all patient, staff and equipment safety policies. Manages overtime; Flex hours Organize work flow to prevent delays and control cost through appropriate use of supplies. Compliance with annual review. Compliance with IV and contrast injection guidelines. All other duties as assigned. Requirements: Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology. Registered by ARRT and License as required by State of Mississippi (MRT). Keep abreast of changes in Radiology by attending classes and continuing education provided.
