About this Job: MedStar Health is looking for a Multiskilled Radiology Technologist I to join our team at St. Mary’s Hospital.      As a Multiskilled Radiology Technologist I, you will conduct various radiographic examinations for a physician to diagnose and treat patient conditions. Technical procedures are performed that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Both computer programmed and manual equipment is used during technique selection and imaging. Responsibility is assumed for designated areas or procedures as required. About this Job: General Summary of Position Administers roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients. Operates x-ray equipment develops film prepare patient's room equipment supplies and medications. Provides patient services using imaging modalities. Primary Duties and Responsibilities   Prepare room equipment medicine and materials as needed for patients. Cleans and disinfects x-ray room and equipment. Prepare barium preparation and other chemical mixture for x-rays. Prepare patient for x-rays explains procedures transfers patient to table position patient and assists patient at end of procedure.
