JOB SUMMARY
Works under the supervision of the IT Infrastructure Manager, installs, maintains, and repairs clinical instruments and equipment. Performs skilled tasks in the areas of Biomedical Equipment Technology and maintenance. Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Performs scheduled and unscheduled (PM) Maintenance clinical Equipment, or sends equipment out for PM as appropriate.
Performs repairs on damaged equipment when applicable or sends equipment out for repairs.
Installs and calibrates Clinical Equipment.
Provides Clinical Equipment pre-purchase and contract evaluations.
Provides clinical support and training in proper equipment operation to staff.
Attends project meetings, and all other meetings as needed involving medical equipment.
