Touchette Regional Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist Lead!! Job Summary: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm, t raveling to off-site locations is required Oversees the activities of the Phlebotomist team and works with the Laboratory Supervisor to provide coverage for various assignments, which include phlebotomy, maintaining laboratory files, handling of specimens/reports, processing outpatients, answering and directing phone calls to appropriate areas/personnel, and processing all specimens that come into the laboratory when needed to better serve the patients. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Performs phlebotomy on all outpatients and inpatients as required, from neonate to geriatric patients, by finger stick, heel stick, or venipuncture for diagnostic testing as ordered by providers, including blood cultures Interprets physician orders and order tests in appropriate system.
