Touchette Regional Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist Lead!!  Job Summary:  Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm, t raveling to off-site locations is required Oversees the activities of the Phlebotomist team and works with the Laboratory Supervisor to provide coverage for various assignments, which include phlebotomy, maintaining laboratory files, handling of specimens/reports, processing outpatients, answering and directing phone calls to appropriate areas/personnel, and processing all specimens that come into the laboratory when needed to better serve the patients. Description Summary: Follows established standard practices: Prepares and stains microscopic slides from specimens of blood, tissue scrapings, and body fluids. Examines cells of the human body to detect evidence of cancer, abnormalities, and other pathological conditions. Categories slides, records classification, compiles listings of patients for follow-up analysis, and reports all unusual cell structures or abnormalities to the Pathologist.
