Touchette Regional Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist!!  Job Summary:   Location:  Belleville, IL  Weekend rotation: Up to every third weekend Schedule: Monday-Friday: 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm Saturday: 9:30 am to 6 pm or 10 am to 6:30 pm Sunday: 11:30 am to 5 pm or 12 pm to 5:30 pm Oversees the activities of the Phlebotomist team and works with the Laboratory Supervisor to provide coverage for various assignments, which include phlebotomy, maintaining laboratory files, handling of specimens/reports, processing outpatients, answering and directing phone calls to appropriate areas/personnel, and processing all specimens that come into the laboratory when needed to better serve the patients. JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, the phlebotomist obtains and prepares specimens for analysis.   The phlebotomist must demonstrate the ability to work with neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatric persons. He or She participates in performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.
