Performs a variety of laboratory tests, many of which involve numerous steps and techniques, and require use of professional judgment.  Tests are performed in Blood Bank, Coagulation, Hematology, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Chemistry.  Professional application of the theories and techniques of clinical laboratory science (including evaluation of quality control data) are used to produce reliable test results which aid the clinician in diagnosis and treatment.  Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities. Shift: M-F, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, every 5th weekend Requirements Medical Technologist: Must have at least sixty semester hours of college with training in a certified Medical Technology training program. Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures and related tasks on neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assists with departmental and hospital CQI activities. Performs other duties related to the Nuclear Medicine Department. Requirements Registered in Nuclear medicine by the AART or NMTCB or registry eligible. Graduate of approved program in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Average physical demands involve moving/transporting patients, lifting accessory equipment and pushing wheelchairs or stretchers.
