Overview The phlebotomist works under the immediate supervision of the Medical Technologist/Technician, is primarily responsible for the phlebotomy procedures, including veni-punctures, finger sticks, heel sticks, bleeding times, urine collection and drug screen collections. The phlebotomist is also responsible for processing in the reference lab reports and for sorting/charting various lab results.
