Job Title:               Phlebotomist/Laboratory Assistant Department:           Laboratory            SUMMARY Performs blood collections on patients of all ages (venipuncture and capillary).  Performs routine laboratory tasks related to processing blood and other lab specimens by performing the following duties.  Performs EKGs, clerical functions and answers phones.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   Follows laboratory procedures for specimen collection, handling, ordering and processing. Demonstrates organization values in daily work.  Interacts with all patients, visitors, providers and organization staff in a courteous, respectful and professional manner.
