The Medical Technologist III is responsible for following procedures and performing tests on body fluids using automated analyzers and manual test procedures under minimal supervision, in accordance with laboratory procedures. The Medical Technologist III is responsible for adherence to the laboratory quality control policies and procedures to ensure reporting of accurate and timely test results. The Medical Technologist III will assist in the training of new personnel and carry out special assignments/projects for the department. The Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD) Proteomics Core within the Fischer Lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute serves as a resource for the Cancer Biology Department, aiding investigators in answering key research questions using mass spectrometry-based proteomics. We employ quantitative chemoproteomic and interactomic approaches to identify drug targets and are continuing to expand our repertoire to meet the needs of our core users. The Technical Supervisor is responsible for the technical and administrative management, which may include the chemistry laboratory, including general chemistry assays and immunoassays, hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis, and specimen processing.
