About the Job General Summary of Position Performs clinical clerical and administrative support functions for the Emergency Department. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy policies procedures and standards. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Nursing or Medical staff performing routine sterile and non-sterile procedures and splinting according to Unit/Hospital policy. Participates in patient and family teaching as directed including instructions related to disposition. Recognizes and reports significant changes in patient's condition to the nursing and medical staff and performs necessary initial interventions as necessary.
