POSITION SUMMARY : The mission and purpose of our Ambulance Driver is to provide safe operation of the ambulance and assist with the movement of the patient and/or equipment. The Ambulance Driver is used by the Ambulance Service on an on-call basis and is not on the EMS schedule. Drivers are for transfer purposes only, unless otherwise designated by the Paramedic on duty. Initiating patient care is not within the scope of a driver. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :  Operate vehicles and equipment to facilitate the care of a patient in a safe and efficient manner. Utilize maps from various resources including IamResponding to locate hospitals, medical facilities, and response scene addresses or locations.
