Staff Education/ Training:
Evaluates need for/ develops and implements continuing education programs for licensed staff in assigned area promoting critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Develops content for/ provides annual review for Mother Baby Unit, Resource Pool, as well as all unit coordinators and nursing assistants in Women/Children’s Service Line.
Provides Women’s Hospital Orientation for nursing staff new to Women/Children’s Service Line.
Reviews documentation of each Mother Baby and Resource Pool nurse at least twice per year, or as needed for ADVANCE submissions.
Serves as a clinical resource for nursing staff in areas of responsibility.
Provides means for staff development and on-going competency to ensure safe and effective patient care.
