About this Job: Job Summary: MedStar Health is currently seeking a Population Health Dietitian to join its Food RX program at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. This position also requires 2-3 days working at the Franciscan Center, offsite community partner. In this position, you will be joining the Food Rx Program, a national award-winning regionally based program in Baltimore, MD that helps reach individuals in the community with chronic diseases and food insecurity. This program provides produce prescriptions and medically tailored groceries designed to help people with diabetes and other chronic diseases to live healthier lifestyles. This position will provide nutrition counseling, diabetes education, weight management strategies, and meal planning. Food Rx participants have been shown to have reduced hemoglobin A1C levels, less ED visits, and improved glucose control.
