Performs a variety of routine duties related to the preparation and serving of food; cleans area and cooking utensils following infection control/HACCP guidelines. Sets up serving area and serves customers in accordance with established schedule and procedures.  Cleans the cafeteria area, serving utensils and equipment, following infection control and HACCP guidelines.  Carries dishes and food between the production area and serving lines.  Presents all menu items in an attractive manner, following sanitary procedures and maintain adequate supplies of food and nonfood during meal service.  Informs supervisor of all supply and equipment needs.  Greets all customers promptly and courteously.  Completes all documentation requirements: temperature logs, cleaning schedules, etc.  Understands standard infection control and HACCP guidelines.  Understands role in hospitals fire, safety and disaster programs.  Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Performs a variety of routine duties related to the serving of food, responsible for all customer monetary transactions. Greets all customers promptly and courteously.  Handles all financial matters in a responsible manner.  Balances the cash drawer on a daily basis and is responsible for maintaining accurate customer transactions.  Assist in setting up serving area and serves customers in accordance with established schedule and procedure.  Cleans the cafeteria dining area and customer service area following infection control and HACCP guidelines.  Informs supervisor of all supply and equipment needs.  Maintains adequate food and nonfood supplies during meal service.  Communicates all customer related comments and/or complaints to the appropriate supervisor.  Completes all documentation requirements, temperature logs, cleaning schedule, daily deposits, etc.  Understands standard isolation procedures and HACCP guidelines.
