The Behavioral Health Counselor will provide direct clinical counseling to help children and families deal with various personal, social, and mental health issues, such as depression, unemployment, domestic abuse, and illness, through individual and group counseling. This individual will work closely with the providers in the General Pediatrics clinic to provide patients and families with a comprehensive mental health evaluation and treatment plan. Job duties also include assisting with the diagnosis of mental health disabilities and providing support to patients through counseling. This position’s primary location will be in the General Pediatrics Clinic.

The University of Kentucky Healthcare ( UKHC ) Enterprise is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist. The Behavioral Health Specialist will support the care of adult and pediatric patients on medical surgical units who have psychiatric, behavioral, and/ or substance use issues. This nurse will act as an expert resource and work collaboratively with the psychiatric and addiction consult services. This nurse will support patient care through direct nursing consultation, coaching/mentoring, learning needs assessment, formal and informal education, and providing guidance to the nurses and team. This nurse will lead Behavioral Health Emergency Response Team ( BERT ) responses to psychiatric emergencies within the Kentucky Children’s Hospital, Good Samaritan, and Chandler Medical Center.

The Department of Family & Community medicine seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW ) to work as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team performing behavioral health assessments and counseling services and care coordination. The position will include the delivery of behavioral health counseling visits at a National Committee for Quality Assurance ( NCQA ) recognized level III Primary Care Medical Home ( PCMH ). In addition to behavioral health counseling, a successful applicant will perform integrated behavioral health care case management services via coordinated care with primary care providers and clinic staff. A successful applicant must have the ability to obtain 3 letters of recommendation from peer LCSWs for credentialing purposes.
