The Brenham State Supported Living Center (SSLC) is seeking a board certified/board eligible Psychiatrist to join an interdisciplinary team of professionals to provide clinical care to residents of the SSLC. This Psychiatrist position will allow for the use of onsite psychiatry care and Telepsychiatry in combination to perform the essential job functions. Generally, the Telepsychiatrist will work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm in the SSLCs time zone. The Inpatient Psychiatrist will provide recovery-oriented care to Veterans who are admitted acutely to the 73-bed mental health inpatient program for stabilization of psychiatric symptoms. This staff psychiatrist will work on an interdisciplinary academic mental health team treating Veterans with a full range of diagnosis including mood disorders, PTSD, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders and neurocognitive disorders.
