Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the  Ambulatory Care Technician Certified (Certified Medical Assistant)  position is to support the patient and the provider throughout the ambulatory care patient visit from registration through discharge and follow up. As a  Certified Medical Assistant, Ambulatory Care Technician Certified  will   structure the patient flow for the physicians in the examination and treatment of patients. As directed by a Physician and University Hospital policy, the Ambulatory Care Technician Certified administers intramuscular and subcutaneous injections which may be delegated under State regulations. Responsibilities The Clinical Crisis Relief Worker provides basic patient care. Performs routine treatment procedures and assists in maintenance of a safe, clean patient environment. Ensures adherence to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. Employee will work to the extent of their license and/or training. Qualifications Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position. Applicants must be able to take temperatures, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and other simple procedures where indicated. Must be currently enrolled as a medical or nursing student.

Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position for Medical Special Procedures is to be responsible for the care of pediatric and adult patients undergoing endoscopic and other gastro-intestinal related procedures during the pre-procedural, procedural and post-procedural phases. The nurse delivers care through the use of the nursing process as reflected in SGNA’s Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice and Role Delineation Statements in a manner that is cost effective without compromising quality of care.
