Security Guard (Full Time) JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the protection of the hospital, its assets, employees, patients, visitors, and other customers of the facility. Full Time with Benefits 12 hour shifts Night shift: 6pm-6am weekdays & rotating day/night coverage on weekends MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D. EXPERIENCE: 1 year minimum military, civil police, or security required. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Certification: use of 5% O.C. Mace and BLS EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Communication radio, telephone, monitoring camera, and alarm system SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Pass Initial/Annual fitness test includes: heavy weight lifting (70#), timed run/walk, timed procedural competency test, and timed ability test. POSITION SUMMARY: A Security Officer is responsible for protecting and serving San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital (SGMH) patients, associates, and visitors, in addition to monitoring and protecting facilities and assets. Security Officers monitor and operate security camera systems, intercoms, two-way radios, telephones, and alarm systems.
