Job Details Description Location/Department:  Hospital - Med Surg 24hr./pp - every other weekend evenings (Fri, Sat, Sun 2p-10p) Job Summary: To facilitate communication within the Med Surg Unit & provide information.   Supervisory Responsibilities:   None   Duties/Responsibilities: Uses only approved abbreviations. Understands patient safety goals & actions taken. Demonstrates awareness of patient rights. Uses 2 patient identifiers before giving treatments, demonstrates process. Understands the spiritual aspects of patient care & can give examples of such. Uses respect & dignity when dealing with death & dying. Accurately reports to RN as warranted by condition. Gives report to other providers as needed. Reports sentinel events or adverse drug reactions or incidents as warranted. Answers call lights promptly & courteously & routes information as needed...
