Job Summary :  The Trauma Program Registrar  of the GMH Trauma Registry provides leadership for the development and implementation of a computerized population-based trauma registry.  He/she is primarily responsible for identifying trauma patients admitted to Gaston Memorial Hospital , abstracting charts and entering data into the trauma registry database. He/she assists the Trauma Program Coordinator and Trauma Program Director in the expansion of existing services, new program development.   Qualifications :  Minimum of High School graduate or equivalent.  One to three years registry or hospital experience required.  College courses related to registry, medical records, or health information system preferred.   Good knowledge of anatomy and physiology.  Software competencies in database management, spreadsheets, and word processing required.  Good communication and organizational skills required.    RHIA/ RHIT credentials preferred....
