Overview Anesthesia Technician supports the anesthesiologist and nurse anesthetist by preparing and setting up appropriate equipment and supplies for each surgical case.  Assists in coordinating preventive maintenance on anesthia equipment with GE, BioMed, and Maintenance departments.  Also performs clerical work for the department.  Responsibilities Facilitates preparation of necessary anesthesia equipment. Washes, disinfects, and assembles instruments in preparation for sterilization. Maintains ordering and stocking of anesthesia supplies in surgical suite including anesthesia workroom, carts, and pre-op holding area. Utilizes knowledge of aseptic technique in the preparation of patient breathing circuits, suction equipment, airway equipment, and trays used in the delivery of anesthesia.
