Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Assistant Nurse Manager position is to provide management of day- to-day shift operations of inpatient care unit. Directly responsible for daily staffing and reviews daily shift assignments to obtain efficiency and eliminate overtime. Is accessible, approachable, and visible to staff; seeks staff input; and serves as clinical mentor. Actively assists staff on routine matters and is first line of response to problem-solve.
