Apply Job Type Full-time Description The Safety Attendant is responsible for the direct supervision of any patient requiring monitoring for high risk for falls, intoxication, profound confusion, involuntary commitment (IVC), suicidal patients, and any other patient that would be deemed as unsafe. Responsibilities: Provide continuous, uninterrupted observation of the patient (even during bathing/toileting activities and during visitation). Maintain order and safety of the environment. Communicate patient information to nurse in a timely manner. Monitoring a patient for safety requires one’s full attention; therefore, the PSA/sitter will refrain from texting, talking on the phone, electronic gaming, reading, doing schoolwork, doing crosswords, online learning modules or similar activities.
