Overview
The Insurance Follow-up Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Insurance Follow-up Team within the Physician Services Revenue Cycle Department. This role ensures timely follow-up on outstanding insurance claims, proper resolution of denials, and compliance with payer guidelines. The Insurance Follow-up Supervisor monitors staff productivity, provides training, and works to improve reimbursement processes and reduce claim aging.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred. Billing Specialist Certification or Applicable College Course preferred. Experience: 3 – 5 years of experience in medical billing, insurance follow-up, or revenue cycle management. 1–2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
