About the Cardiac Direct Access Unit (CDAc) The Cardiac Direct Access Unit (CDAc), located on BIDMC's West Campus, offers a unique opportunity to work in an innovative, fast-paced cardiovascular care setting that bridges outpatient and observation-based care. The department combines two closely integrated services—the Ambulatory Cardiology Clinics and the Observation Unit—to provide timely, specialized care for patients with cardiac conditions requiring urgent evaluation and treatment. Serving patients referred through the BILH network, CDAc focuses on individuals experiencing new or worsening cardiac symptoms, as well as patients within the Advanced Heart Failure, Structural Heart, and Electrophysiology programs.
