The Division Director of Preoperative Optimization and Consultative Anesthesiology is a novel role at the Medical College of Wisconsin. This individual leads the Preoperative Assessment and Optimization Clinic (PAOC). They are charged with further developing a data-driven, sustainable platform for preoperative assessment and optimization, including appropriate triage and collaboration with surgeons to develop processes to ensure the best possible outcomes.
