Summary
The ER Technician/CNA is responsible for performing general duties related to behavioral health patients arriving to the ED and providing a safe environment with continuous visual monitoring.
Education and Formal Training: Completion of approved basic EMT course. Current North Carolina EMT certificate. CPR certification within one month of hire date. New employees will be expected to attain current certification as defined by hospital policy. Employees who do not attain or maintain their certification as required by policy will not be allowed to work or use PTO and may be subject to further disciplinary action.
Work Experience: Prior experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Some knowledge of patient care measures used to provide personal hygiene and comfort; procedures and techniques in giving simple treatment in providing care. Some ability to physically, mentally, and emotional perform activities involved in this position.
