Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement, and maintain a trauma care system for a level V Trauma Receiving Facility
· Oversee the trauma program registry and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
· Coordinate with medical directors, hospital administration, and clinicians to develop policies and procedures
· Represent the trauma program within the facility Quality Improvement Committee
· Serve as the Injury Prevention Coordinator by developing and coordinating education events within the community based on local/ state data
· Monitor trauma care financial reimbursement issues by working with the billing and coding departments, and offering support in the development of billing procedures
· Conduct performance improvement and patient safety activities
· Organize and document stakeholder meetings for tertiary review and peer review
· Provide education and training to staff on trauma care and safety initiatives
· Maintain knowledge of current guidelines and attend required educational meetings
· Assist the Director of Nursing in the developing an annual program budget
Requirements:
· RN with experience in emergency services and trauma care.
· ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications within 3 months of hire.
· Ability to respond to trauma activations and take call as needed.
Will also work shifts.

Daniels Memorial Healthcare Center is located in the extreme Northeast corner of Montana in the community of Scobey. We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit 25 Bed Critical Access Hospital with a Rural Health Care Clinic and 24 hour Emergency Room Care. We offer Home Health, Community Health & Hospice services. DMHC also houses outpatient therapy services in the Bjerke Wellness Center including physical therapy, speech & occupational therapies. The Wellness Center boasts of having one of the only therapy pools in Eastern Montana. DMHC has full time laboratory and radiology services, including 1 hour turnaround, 24 hours a day on X-Ray through our CR Reader. Pharmacy and dietician services are available via contracted personnel. Audiology and OB-GYN services are offered monthly through visiting specialists. Rural Practice at its best!
