Job Description
| This position will provide a variety of specialty pharmacy services including obtaining prior authorizations, enrolling patients’ in financial support programs, mail order tracking and drug inventory management, and coordinating first time dispenses and refills for specialty medications prescribed within UK HealthCare. You will work closely with nurses, physicians, and UK Specialty Pharmacy staff to improve access to medications for a variety of sub specialty disease states. This position is eligible for a recruitment bonus. Additional details will be provided during the hiring process should your application be selected to move forward. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience.
Qualifications
HS
1 yr
Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Hospital/retail pharmacy technician and/or healthcare customer service experience preferred.
This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail
Schedule
